Our netdespatcher PDA software has been designed to operate on PDA’s and PDA cellphones that have Windows 2003 and 2005 software for pocket PC’s

The software can be installed in sentinel mode which will prevent any other features from being used on the PDA. This is useful if it is desirable to restrict what features are avaible to the end user, especially to prevent access to the telephone or internet browsing capabilities.

Without sentinel mode all PDA features ar accessible along with netdespatcher.

The PDA despatch software remains in constant contact with the server by GPRS or data over PMR and enables the despatcher at the base to track the location of the vehicles. It also allows the base software to send job offers and details to the vehicles and relay the status of the driver to the base.

Further integration with taximeter firmware facilitates fare data to be transmitted to the software at the office and is fed directly into the driver accounts system.

In addition to netdespatcher the PDA can be loaded with TomTom Navigator, The PDA dispatch softaware has been designed to integrate with TomTom and other navigator software, it will automatically navigate the driver to the pickup and destination locations included with the job offer.

PDA Navigation

Core to the principles of our product GPS navigation data is used both in the office PC’s and in the vehicles. By harmonising the data that is used at the base station and in the vehicles ensures that the vehicles are guided to the exact location shown on the map when the booking was taken. It also ensures that the vehicles are accurately autoplotted

POI Places of interest

In addition to Navigation style mapping the software can import any POI files, POI files are public domain files showing places of interest. These POI files are available for Tom Tom, Garmin, Route 66, Navigator, Destinator and other in vehicle navigation devices, Navigator Metro Software will import any of these POI files including special Map Point formats, these places of interest could be airports, railway stations, garages. The list of available POI files is practically endless so you can customise you software mapping and street database to include everything from Pizza parlours to carphone warehouses, the choices are practically limitless.
