Navigator Metro has a built in SMS features and can automatically send either normal rate or reverse billed SMS messages to both drivers and customers. A reverse billed SMS message costs nothing to send but is billed to the recipient.

SMS messages can also be sent using the SMS gateway which is a separate GSM transceiver attached to the SMS client machine or the server. This SMS gateway not only allows the company to source its own SIM and SMS contract it also facilitates the company advertising a local mobile number through which customers can send SMS messages to the system.
